Stockholm’s Wetterling Gallery showcased a selection of some of the most noted US contemporary artists at the prestigious Armory Show. But what made the exhibition unique was its framing: It was set up like a luxury flat, decorated with furnishings from Svenskt Tenn.

We transported the carefully selected furniture, rugs and lighting from Stockholm to the Armory Show in New York. Svenskt Tenn’s sumptuous interiors created an intimate atmosphere. By creating a furnished environment to showcase works that are usually associated with big exhibition halls, Wetterling gave visitors a more personal connection to their favourite works.

Björn Wetterling, Wetterling Gallery Photo Patrik SehlstedtThe Armory Show is one of the world’s most important art fairs, and this year we opted for an extensive installation featuring not only art, but also furnishings. It’s a key project for us, and one that demands careful, professional efforts from everyone involved to ensure that everything goes exactly right. We’ve worked with MTAB for many years, and it was natural to choose them for this important operation – complex works, international transport with customs procedures, surface and air cargo and tight deadlines,

says Björn Wetterling, Founding Director of the Wetterling Gallery.
