Standing ovations were the response to the concert given by Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra in Vara Concert Hall. Daniel Arnesson, stage manager, describes his experiences: “It’s great fun to be a part of all this and arrange concerts with both classical and modern music. Our tours both in Sweden and abroad bring music to many different people.”
MTAB has been a partner of the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra for many years. Daniel believes that few companies can cope with this type of delivery.
“It’s necessary to have experience in handling musical instruments, and this means that it is important for us to establish a long-term relationship. We prefer to have the same driver every time. The handling of our load is extremely important, and our sensitive instruments require temperature-controlled cabinets at exactly 22 °C.”
After the concert in Vara, the tour continued to Stockholm, while there are plans to gather an unusually large ensemble in Gothenburg at the beginning of June. 150 musicians will be involved and the concert, with Schönberg’s massive “Gurre-Lieder” on the programme, will be performed at the Prioritet Serneke Arena.
We are very happy that MTAB can make an important contribution to spreading classical music.
