SwipBox takes shortcut with total solution from MTAB
MTAB stores, transports, installs and services package systems for the Danish package handler SwipBox. The total solution saves valuable time and resources, and after the roll-out in Sweden, MTAB has been involved in implementing it in several other countries.

SwipBox has a unique business model, which has resulted in rapid expansion since the company was established in 2013. SwipBox specialises in handling packages for large distributors. This is done using package systems, which are typically installed in stores and shopping centres. Consumers can use them to receive and send packages, and everything takes place electronically.
Due to the swift expansion of the concept, SwipBox has a continuous need to install new package systems, and a new agreement with MTAB has now made this much easier.
“We have a total solution from MTAB, where they keep our package systems in storage, bring them out to the stores and install them all in one workflow,” explains Kaj Kaczmarek, Head of Services at SwipBox. “We used to have to coordinate storage, find an appropriate hauler and then make a deal with an installer. Now it’s the same people who do everything, so we’re taking a shortcut that saves both time and money.”
MTAB has been responsible for the solution in Sweden for some time, and now they will also be working in Denmark, where SwipBox has an agreement on the installation of package systems in the stores of Danish retail giant Dansk Supermarked, among others.
Perfect job for MTAB
“The collaboration with SwipBox is a perfect job for us, because it puts so many of our competences into play,” says Jørgen Jul Jensen, Country Manager for MTAB in Denmark. “We handle their systems, including all the built-in electronics. And we not only transport them, but also hook them up so they’re fully operational. We have installers who can handle this type of task from beginning to end.”
The fact that MTAB can operate across borders is another advantage for both parties. It means they can bring their experience with them when the ambitious package handler sets out to conquer new markets.
“Online trade is growing ever-stronger, and consumers want to be able to pick up their packages nearby at whatever time suits them. We’ve entered into agreements with major distributors that not only give us a strong position in Scandinavia, but also a presence in many other European countries.
